"Walking amongst Giants"

Part of the 'Taokodzen' series

Description

"We're still not certain why the Sequoia Grandis have grown so tall and so numerous but Taokodzen (particularly the interior) is packed with them. Recent studies have proposed atmospheric conditions to be a cause; A shallower orbit following the previous Ice Age may have provided enough resource for this tree to prosper. It is even believed that this species population boom helped to greatly increase oxygen levels, resulting in much of the megafauna we observe today."

"Illustrated by my field artist on an expedition into the West Shield Mountains, capturing a party member in awe."
